Session storage overhaul and per-model system prompts

Anurag Verma landed two major features in quantized-ai/luca-py, moving session files out of project directories and adding model-aware prompts to the agent.

1 person shipped this

The first change relocates sessions from wherever the TUI was launched to a project-specific directory under ~/.luca/projects/ [1]. Sessions had accumulated as loose JSON files next to code, and resuming a conversation required copying its id from the goodbye line. The encoding for project paths follows Claude Code's standard, replacing path separators with dashes. The root directory can be moved via sessions.directory in luca.json, but the per-project subdirectory is always applied underneath it [3].

The second feature reads AGENTS.md to select a base system prompt matched to the model family [2]. The demo agent originally shipped with a three-line prompt tuned to its math tools. The new system matches on model id rather than provider, since openrouter serves all families. It uses two plugins: SystemPromptPlugin contributes a shared base plus a model-specific addendum, while InstructionsPlugin reads project-level rules from LUCA.md and AGENTS.md [4]. Both parts are callables, so switching models with /model updates the prompt mid-session.
