OpenCode 1.19.0 stops auto-installing updates and opens the door to OpenCode 2

Today's wire is dominated by operator-facing behavior changes: OpenCode hands update control back to you with a new `/update` command and a migration path to v2, Codex adds a searchable `/config` panel, and Cline fixes a reasoning-off flag that silently did nothing for most providers.
v1.19.0 anomalyco/opencode
by opencode-agent[bot]
OpenCode 1.19.0 no longer installs updates on its own; you run `/update` yourself, and that same command is now the path to OpenCode 2 alongside `opencode upgrade --major`. The release also fixes OpenAI's `ultrafast` service tier and validates PTY connection origins and tickets before checking whether a PTY exists.
fix(llms): portable reasoning off for all providers, and thinking levels for level-only Gemini models cline/cline
Cline only sent "reasoning off" for providers on an internal allowlist, so models that reason by default kept reasoning even when you passed `--thinking none`; that allowlist is gone and reasoning-disabled now goes to every provider. The same fix adds thinking-level support for level-only Gemini models.
Add a searchable `/config` preferences panel to the TUI openai/codex
Codex TUI gains a searchable `/config` panel grouped into Appearance, Notifications, Input, Sessions, and Text selection tabs, with links to the existing theme, status line, terminal title, and keyboard editors. Preference changes persist to the selected local config file, apply immediately where supported, and surface save errors, overrides, and restart requirements in the panel itself.
Reuse and prewarm the WSL clipboard text reader openai/codex
WSL clipboard reads used to spawn a PowerShell process for every paste, which could hang and stall the shared clipboard worker; Codex now keeps a persistent reader on a dedicated thread, restarts it after errors, and prewarms it at startup when right-click paste is enabled without reading clipboard contents.
feat(core): archive projects whose directories are gone anomalyco/opencode
OpenCode now archives projects whose directories no longer exist, via a nullable `project.time_archived` column and a `Project.sweep` that runs at server startup and hourly on the `project-archive-sweep` node, keeping the project list from growing without bound. The quiet close on the long tail: OpenHands landed a compact tablet section disclosure for Settings and Customize at 768 to 1023px, a ...
