Python agent SDK types catch up to TypeScript hooks and init payloads
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Anthropic · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
The Python agent SDK gains typed hook outputs and a typed init system message payload, closing the gap with the TypeScript SDK, while the rest of the day is receipts and changelog housekeeping.
feat(types): add hook-specific output types and missing hook input fields anthropics/claude-agent-sdk-python
qing-ant added hook-specific output types and the hook input fields the public docs reference, matching the TypeScript SDK (0.3.284). Everything added is an optional key or a new union member, so existing callbacks keep type-checking without edits.
feat(types): add SystemInitData for the init system message payload anthropics/claude-agent-sdk-python
The init system message, the richest frame the CLI sends, was only reachable through the untyped SystemMessage.data dict in Python. A new SystemInitData TypedDict types that payload with the same key names as on the wire, adding uuid, session_id, agents, apiKeySource, betas, claude_code_version, cwd, and tools.
receipts: query every local clone when counting commits anthropics/claude-plugins-official
When a project was checked out in more than one local clone with the same directory name, the receipt asked git about only one of them and undercounted commits. The fix queries every local clone, and a companion change reports git unavailable when a clone errored and none found commits.
chore: Update mods/ anthropics/claude-code
by GitHub Actions (publish-mods)
Generated chores kept the claude-code tree current: a CHANGELOG.md and feed.xml refresh and a publish-mods update to mods/. Nothing for readers to act on.
