By RepoJournal ยท Filed ยท About CachyOS
CachyOS shipped two kernel releases based on Linux 6.18.48, adding the apple-bce driver and addressing camera-freeze issues on Apple T2 hardware.
CachyOS released Linux 6.18.48-1, a rebase from 6.18.42 to 6.18.48, and immediately followed with 6.18.48-2, which includes the new apple-bce driver and fixes for freezing when turning off the camera on Apple T2 hardware [1][2]. The 6.18/t2 branch also carries an i915 4-lane quirk for MacBook Pro 15,1 and apple-gmux improvements for switching to the iGPU at probe [2]. The Linux LTS kernel package moved to 6.18.48 [3]. Separately, the zen-browser-bin package updated from 1.21.15b to 1.21.16b with clean checksums and no risk flags [4]. Upptime monitoring reports all China mirrors up, with the USTC mirror responding in 1055 ms and Nanjing in 1854 ms [5][6].
