CachyOS released its 7.3-rc1 kernels and patched NVIDIA PRIME profile detection for 2-in-1 convertibles.

CachyOS shipped two linux-cachyos 7.3-rc1 releases [2][1], based on Linux 7.3-rc1, with initial patches [3] including a fix for HDMI FRL by default. Separately, chwd now matches NVIDIA PRIME profiles on convertibles: chassis type 31 was missing from the laptop allowlist, so hybrid Intel + NVIDIA 2-in-1s got the desktop profile, which removed the `kms` hook and caused a blank Plymouth/LUKS screen; the fix adds type 31 [4][5]. The outdated cef-minimal-obs-bin directory was deleted from cachyos-aur-derived [6], and the wiki dropped its Propeller statement [7]. Package updates include faugus-launcher 2.2.1, protonplus 0.6.5, waypaper 2.9, and sudo-rs 0.2.15-1 [8][9][10][11]. The kernel-patches 7.3 branch also added a fix labeled "Fix skill issue" [12]. Ananicy added rules for Portal: Alive & Kicking and Mocktail [13][14].
