CachyOS Linux 6.18.50-1 rebases to upstream 6.18.50 and pulls in the t2bce driver stack for Apple T2 Macs, while the LTS kernel moves to the same base and NVIDIA 615.71.09 is rebuilt across the tree.

CachyOS Linux 6.18.50-1 rebases the kernel from 6.18.48 to 6.18.50 and updates the 6.18/t2 branch with the t2bce driver stack, an applesmc fix so the module no longer probes for T2 Macbooks, a matching applesmc-t2 gate so it only loads on T2 hardware, and an amdgpu VI ASI reset [1]. The corresponding linux-cachyos-lts package moves to 6.18.50-1 [2]. If you carry the t2 branch or run CachyOS on Apple hardware, the applesmc split is the pair of changes to read before updating: the old module no longer probes T2 machines, and the t2 variant is now the only one that loads there [1].

On the NVIDIA side, linux-cachyos carries a 615.71.09 rebuild [3], paired with an open pull request against CachyOS-PKGBUILDS retitling the {lib32-,}nvidia-utils packaging to the 615xx series [4]. That packaging PR is still open, so treat the rebuild as landed and the utils rename as pending.

CachyOS-PKGBUILDS updated nodejs to v26.8.2 through the standard pull-and-merge path [5][6]. A separate dms-shell update was opened and has since merged [7][8]. The AUR-derived automation kept pace with five upstream bumps: helium-browser-bin 0.16.6.1 to 0.17.0.1, github-copilot-app-bin 1.1.16 to 1.1.17, chatgpt-desktop-bin 26.903.61454 to 26.903.71938, proton-pass 1.40.2 to 1.40.3, and plasmazones 3.4.15 to 3.4.16 [9][10][11][12][13]. Each was checked with pkgctl version upgrade, regenerated .SRCINFO, and was flagged clean by the static diff scan, though makepkg --verifysource returned false on all five [13][10][9][11][12].

Elsewhere, copr-linux-cachyos refreshed scx-scheds-git backports [14]. The status page reports all clear, with the China Mirror at USTC responding 200 in 2327 ms and the Nanjing mirror 200 in 2891 ms [15][16].
