CachyOS-PKGBUILDS removed the custom mkinitcpio package, ending the distro's fork of the initramfs generator that every CachyOS install depends on at boot.

CachyOS-PKGBUILDS dropped the custom mkinitcpio package maintained by Peter Jung [1]. mkinitcpio assembles the initramfs on every kernel install and update, so this is the highest-leverage change of the day: the custom package is gone and CachyOS now tracks upstream mkinitcpio behavior. Reboot-test a kernel upgrade before rolling this to fleets.

The cachyos-mirrorlist krfoss and krfoss5 repositories flip-flopped within the same window. They were disabled due to issues [2], then the disable was reverted [3], so the mirrorlist is back to its prior state. Nothing to do unless you pinned against the disabled window.

On the COPR side, the Linux CachyOS build moved to 7.2.5 and 6.18.51 with a fix for posttrans bug #112 [4], and the package release was reset to 1 [5]. If you build kernels from copr-linux-cachyos, pull the latest source before your next build rather than reusing cached tarballs.

AUR-derived package updates landed for claude-code 2.1.267 to 2.1.269 [6] and claude-desktop 1.52386.0 to 1.52386.3 [7]; both only touched PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO. The joplin package was resynced [8]. Statuspage commits reported the China Mirror (USTC) up with HTTP 200 in 2080 ms [9] and the China Mirror (Nanjing) up with HTTP 200 in 4079 ms [10], along with routine graph and README summary refreshes [11][12][13].
