Django softens PR auto-close, fixes JSONField __in crash on SQLite
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Django · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
Django's PR quality bot now waits 24 hours before closing failing pull requests, and a SQLite regression in JSONField __in has a fix on the way.
Added a 24 hour grace period for automated PR quality checks. django/django
Sarah Boyce's change responds to DjangoCon sprint feedback that the auto-close was "too aggressive", since contributors could lose a PR to a forgotten checkbox before they could correct it. Failures now get an explanatory comment in the first 24 hours, with a daily scheduled run closing eligible PRs between 24 hours and 5 days old; existing exemptions for contributors with recent commits remain.
Fixed #37403 -- Fixed JSONField __in crash on SQLite with Value(None) expressions. django/django
A regression from 9b8e4c6d7d47f7b2e96817ba334e9fd53c10a0df made JSONField __in raise on SQLite when the query included Value(None) expressions. Clifford Gama traced it to the JSON encoding branch in JSONIn.resolve_expression_parameter() not accounting for that case, reported as ticket-37403 by Jacob Walls.
Fixed passing of pagination data as params to github_request(). django/django
Pagination data passed to github_request() as params was being handled incorrectly, which affects how the PR automation walks paginated API responses.

The DSF bylaws merge adds language defining voting members and affirmation. Worth a read if you follow how the Foundation's governance is written down.
