XFS gets its LLM-found bugfixes in rc5
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Linux · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
Linus merged a 26-commit XFS fixes pull request into 7.3-rc5, landing a batch of overflow, use-after-free and NULL-deref fixes alongside the usual installer and shell churn.
Merge tag 'xfs-fixes-7.3-rc5' of gitolite.kernel.org:/pub/scm/fs/xfs/xfs-linux torvalds/linux
Carlos Maiolino's pull request carries 26 commits, described as mostly "random" bugfixes found by LLM tools across different XFS subsystems: possible buffer overruns, UAFs, block leaks, plus a NULL pointer deref on zoned support and a wild memcpy when formatting ondisk rtrefc.
Rename the Elsewhen migration so the link repair reaches machines that already ran it basecamp/omarchy
The re-point of a user plugin link stranded when the elsewhen package moved from plugins/ to shell/plugins/ never ran on machines that had already applied migration 1789581661, because omarchy-migrate keys completion on the filename alone. Renaming the migration lets the repair reach those machines.
chore(installer): remove wait `reflector.service` (#4750) archlinux/archinstall
archiso dropped reflector.service in release 87 on 2025-10-29, so archinstall no longer waits on a unit the installer image does not ship. The change removes the wait from installer code and drops "offline" from the docstring of _verify_service_stop.
Report skipped checks separately in shell tests basecamp/omarchy
Headless shell runs used to end with "All test files passed" even when graphical or hardware checks could not run. Those checks now report an explicit # SKIP marker and the affected files are listed in the final summary, including files that ran other checks or later failed.
Enable Ruff flake8-annotations archlinux/archinstall
Missing types now use Any, which lets Ruff's ANN001, ANN002 and ANN003 rules be turned on. Also in archinstall: zh_CN and Spanish translation updates, and a fix for table data mapping.
