omarchy bounds clipboard reads to stop history hangs

By RepoJournal · Filed · About Linux · Composed from the cited sources · methodology

The day's real bug fix is in omarchy's clipboard watcher: a stalled pipe owner could freeze history indefinitely, and the reads are now capped at two seconds.

Prevent clipboard capture hangs (#9488) basecamp/omarchy

by Maxwell Croy

In watch mode, capture.sh read the copy from the owner's pipe on stdin to EOF with no bound, so an owner that stalled without closing its end kept the callback alive and wl-paste --watch handled no further clipboard events until it exited. Captures are now bounded and copies cut off at the deadline are dropped.

Prevent clipboard capture hangs basecamp/omarchy

by maxcroy1

The bound applies to MIME queries and every payload read, including watched stdin and startup snapshots, at two seconds each. This is the fix for the silent stop of clipboard history reported in #9443, where a stuck capture.sh had no wl-paste child and --list-types never read from the owner.

Merge tag 'keys-v7.3-rc7' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jarkko/linux-tpmdd torvalds/linux

by Linus Torvalds

Jarkko Sakkinen's keys fixes land: key_get_persistent() created a persistent keyring in an error path but never set a timeout on it, preventing GC, and __key_create_or_update() copied keyring->restrict_link before taking keyring->sem.

Merge tag 'selinux-pr-20261005' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/pcmoore/selinux torvalds/linux

by Linus Torvalds

Paul Moore's SELinux pull preserves SECURITY_LSM_NATIVE_LABELS when a superblock is reused, checking whether security_sb_set_mnt_opts() has already seen it, and fixes a potential AVC sequence number issue.

Show Elsewhen remove button only on mouse hover basecamp/omarchy

by David Heinemeier Hansson

The Elsewhen remove button now appears only on mouse hover, with a circular corner bubble: a pair of cosmetic changes with no behavioral impact on anything else.
