openai-node 7.30.0 and openai-python 3.26.0 both ship standalone Decisions support, giving the two SDKs a new first-class resource in the same release window.
feat(api): add standalone Decisions support openai/openai-node
client.decisions.create is now the entry point for Decisions in Node and TypeScript, taking plain text or user messages that carry text plus inline images, and returning typed predicate, choice, score, and refusal answers.
feat(api): add standalone Decisions support openai/openai-python
The Python clients expose the same create call on both the sync and async paths, with boolean and string choice values preserved on the way back in.
feat(api): add agent turn items and usage source grouping openai/openai-node
Agent sessions gain a paginated list method for items in a turn, and usage and costs grouping now accepts api_source and user_id, alongside new error codes for spend limits and exhausted credits.
Finish idle thread unloads after slow shutdown (#51420) openai/codex
Idle thread unloading previously gave up after ten seconds and left the thread loaded when cleanup ran long; it now keeps awaiting the same shutdown future, warning via codex.app_server.thread_shutdown_slow, then removes the thread and sends thread/closed without a second unload request.
Preserve URL destinations in wrapped hook details openai/codex
The hooks browser rendered detail URLs as plain text, so wrapped or truncated long URLs dropped part of their destination; hook details now emit terminal hyperlinks that keep the full target, with ellipses outside the link. TUI selection rows got the same treatment, carrying hyperlink ranges through two-column layouts.
