Evals move to GPT-6 and Opus 5.5, CLI functions go full effect lint
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Supabase · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
Supabase's eval harness re-baselines its model lineup, the CLI finishes folding every functions subcommand and its tests under the Effect lint, and the ETL API is gone.
feat(evals): upgrade to GPT-6, Opus 5.5, and Grok 4.7 supabase/evals
Benchmark and no-skills presets now run GPT-6 Sol/Luna, Claude Opus 5.5, and Grok 4.7, with the default judge, Grok runner, docs, and label examples aligned to match. Historical model IDs stay intact in recorded results and transcript fixtures, and Opus 5.5 needed a Claude Code CLI bump from 2.1.272 to 2.1.280.
refactor(cli): cover `functions serve` with effect lint (CLI-2459) supabase/cli
The allow list in .oxlintrc.effect.json now covers serve/** rather than just serve.handler.ts, so the command, errors, stack handler, and their unit, stack integration, and e2e tests all clear the lint. The integration fixture reads and writes moved onto the FileSystem/Path services and waitFor polls on Clock instead of node:fs.
ref(api): Remove etl-api supabase/etl
The etl-api crate is removed from the repository. Anything still building or shipping against it has no replacement path here.
docs: ClickHouse destination guide, private alpha status supabase/etl
A new reference guide covers the ClickHouse destination's setup, the ReplacingMergeTree and MergeTree layouts, read patterns, replica identity requirements, and the upgrade path for MergeTree tables created before cdc_tx_ordinal. The destination is now marked private alpha in the top-level README.
Add a live preview markdown editor for explorer supabase/supabase
The Explorer gains a live preview markdown editor built on lexical, following the Notion/Obsidian editing model the team says users asked for. A companion change adds a context menu to explorer nav so notebooks and chats can be deleted without opening them first.
