Foreign server deletes stop cascading, Studio logs get range selection

By RepoJournal · Filed · About Supabase · Composed from the cited sources · methodology

Studio closed a data-loss bug in foreign server deletion and rebuilt log selection around the table rows themselves, while Storage's list endpoint migration moved into the shared infinite-query hook.

fix(studio): delete only the selected foreign server FE-4462 (#50785) supabase/supabase

by Jordi Enric

Deleting a foreign server row dropped its foreign data wrapper with CASCADE, so one delete took out every server sharing that wrapper. The fix drops only the selected server and its foreign tables, removing the wrapper and Vault secret only when no servers still reference them; edits to a shared wrapper now stop before making changes.

feat(studio): migrate storage infinite-query hook to list-v2 (#50730) supabase/supabase

by Ivan Vasilov

Storage's v1 list endpoint is being deprecated for list-v2, which uses cursor pagination instead of numeric offset that degrades on large buckets, and which fixes folders differing only by case not both being listable. This first PR adds listBucketObjectsV2 next to the existing v1 call and covers the shared infinite-query hook and its two consumers.

docs: warn about postgres.js pipelining on Supavisor transaction mode (#50712) supabase/supabase

by Szymon Mentel

The pipelining caution for postgres.js under Supavisor transaction mode now sits in a new Transaction mode limitations section of the redesigned connecting-to-postgres doc. If you run postgres.js through the transaction-mode pooler, the pipelining restriction is documented where you will actually look for it.

feat(studio): multi-select logs with click, shift, and keyboard ranges (#50689) supabase/supabase

by Saxon Fletcher

Unified Logs now uses useTableRowSelection, so click, shift-click, and keyboard ranges select rows directly rather than through a separate checkbox column and banner. Clicking a row and checking a row are no longer two different selections.

perf(realtime): prepare local database without starting the application supabase/slim-services

by jgoux

A draft makes SEED_SELF_HOST=true bin/prepare run metadata migrations, local tenant seeding, tenant migrations, and initial message maintenance in one short-lived BEAM invocation without starting the Realtime application, its HTTP endpoint, or runtime supervisors. Elsewhere, edge-runtime v1.77.1, storage v1.79.20, and postgres 17.6.1.177 published smoke-tested multi-platform artifacts, and the ...
