Studio surfaces the compute waitlist, ETL buffers writes across keepalives
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Supabase · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
Two targeted fixes: Studio stops swallowing a 404 into a generic error, and supabase/etl stops forcing a Destination durability request on every keepalive.
fix(studio): show compute waitlist notice when project is not enrolled (#51224) supabase/supabase
The compute API returns its 404 as { "error": { "code", "message" } }, but handleError only read a top-level message, so the status code was dropped, isComputeUnavailable never matched, and users got "API error happened while trying to communicate with the server." For unenrolled projects the query now checks response.status === 404 and shows a short notice linking to https://supabase.com/compu...
feat: Support buffering Accepted write results across keepalives supabase/etl
Postgres sends a keepalive after nearly every transaction, and ETL forced a Durability request to the Destination on each one, which made it hard to keep CDC events from multiple commits in flight for concurrent downstream processing. This adds buffering of accepted write results so those results survive across keepalives.
feat: Support buffering Accepted write results across keepalives (#1082) supabase/etl
The merge of the keepalive buffering work into supabase/etl, with review credit to Victor Farazdagi. Same behavior change, now on main.
