A single fix in vuejs/language-tools keeps the VS Code extension working on Node versions where the hooks registration API misbehaves, closing out issue #6244.
fix(vscode): avoid `registerHooks` on buggy Node versions vuejs/language-tools
The extension's VS Code client no longer calls registerHooks when running on the affected Node builds, resolving the crash reported in #6244. The change landed alongside two tracked upstream threads, vuejs/language-tools #6211 and nodejs/node #59929, so it is a direct workaround for the runtime rather than a fix inside the extension.
fix(vscode): avoid `registerHooks` on buggy Node versions (#6245) vuejs/language-tools
If you hit the bug, pulling the latest language-tools build is the practical fix; the guard applies only to the VS Code client and leaves the Node-side behavior untouched.
