MCP server for HockeyStack Revenue Agents, with async job polling

By RepoJournal , from @bgrgndzz's public GitHub activity

Backfilled

Buğra Gündüz shipped a new Model Context Protocol server wrapping HockeyStack's Revenue Agents API as 27 tools, then adapted it to match an upstream contract change where message sends became asynchronous.

He created bgrgndzz/hockeystack-revenue-agents-mcp from scratch [1], an MCP server exposing the HockeyStack Revenue Agents v1 API [2]. The server bundles 27 tools covering agents, conversations, tasks, and credits, runnable via `npx hockeystack-mcp` once published, and authenticates using `HOCKEYSTACK_API_TOKEN` as a bearer token.

Shortly after, HockeyStack changed the message API contract. Instead of blocking until the agent completed its turn, `POST .../messages` now returns 202 with a job ID [7]. Buğra updated both `hs_send_deal_message` and `hs_send_company_message` to auto-poll the resulting job until completion (with a 300-second default timeout, overridable via `wait_seconds`), and added new tools to query job status directly [6]. The polling layer returns the assistant result in the same shape callers already expect, preserving backwards compatibility.

In parallel, he added documentation to HockeyStack/mintlify-docs: an API quickstart, MCP server guide, rate limits page, and changelog entries [4] [5] [8]. He then consolidated and tightened those changelog entries to match OpenAI-style brevity [9] [10].
