DRM FIXES LAND, PINCTRL REVERTS BROKEN AMD PATCH

By RepoJournal · Filed · About Linux

Dave Airlie merged graphics fixes across colorop, amdgpu, and misc drivers while pinctrl backed out a botched AMD touchscreen fix that was causing more problems than it solved.

The DRM subsystem took in two rounds of fixes overnight [1][2]. The main pull includes colorop lut interpolation changes and tracking updates across amdgpu and core components, plus driver-specific fixes for UserQ, Userptr, and freesync [1]. A second, smaller DRM pull hit the tree with additional fixes including a memory leak in amdxdna's mm_struct handling, integer truncation in ivpu, and a dma_fence ref-count leak in virtio [2]. Meanwhile, pinctrl-v7.1-3 landed with two mcp23s08 driver fixes and a critical revert: the earlier AMD pin controller patch enabling IRQ for the WACF2200 touchscreen on Lenovo Yoga 7 got yanked entirely [3]. That revert signals a proper fix is coming but the original approach was fundamentally wrong. PCI side stayed quiet with only a maintainer addition [4]. In the installer space, archinstall shipped a follow-up to its Plymouth theme work, fixing enum comparison bugs in the theme selector menu and regenerating translation strings [5][6].
