Anurag pushed 22 commits across lore_backend and lore_frontend, building out IP asset registration state management, collection discovery features, and comment interaction improvements.
The backend work centered on three major areas. First, IP asset registration was enhanced with explicit status tracking and error handling [1], introducing fields for registration attempts and failures, plus retry functionality for assets stuck mid-creation [11]. This allows users to resume asset creation from the point where it failed, with detailed logging and step-by-step recovery. Second, the assets system was refactored by removing AI-related models and views [2] while normalizing wallet addresses to lowercase across user management and expanding asset visibility rules to allow users to see their own unregistered assets [3]. Third, collections gained a public/private filter with sensible defaults [4], cover image support for IPFS uploads [6], and UUID-based lookups instead of integer IDs [5] for consistency across assets and collections.
Comment features also expanded. A new CommentLike model was added [8], then its migration was cleaned up [9], with comment liking and reply counts refactored to use SerializerMethodField for flexibility [7]. Comment serializers and views were enhanced to support explicit reply and like URLs using UUIDs [10], with the create method now returning the full comment object.
On the frontend, CollectionsPage was refactored with tab navigation between 'my' and 'discover' collections [12], using URL parameters to preserve tab state. Collection management gained editing and deletion with confirmation modals [13], and the CollectionModal was enhanced with image upload, cropping, and preview functionality [15]. Assets and collections across the codebase were migrated to use UUIDs instead of numeric IDs [14], improving type safety. Comment handling was simplified by moving reply functionality into CommentCard itself, removing global reply state [16], and adding a refetch mechanism for immediate UI updates on likes and replies [17]. Asset detail pages received retry functionality for failed creation attempts [18], while broader component improvements included better error handling, memoization for collections fetching, and Suspense support for loading states [19]. The Sidebar was updated to handle dynamic route segments correctly [20].
