Arch is pushing five library updates to testing, led by librdkafka 2.14.2 for streaming infrastructure and wit-bindgen 0.58.0 for WebAssembly component development.

The most impactful change is librdkafka 2.14.2-1 [1], which patches critical issues in the Kafka client library used across distributed systems. This lands alongside wit-bindgen 0.58.0-1 [2], now promoted to extra-x86_64, bringing the latest WebAssembly Interface Types specification support to the ecosystem. Supporting infrastructure gets refreshed with libqb 2.0.10-1 [3], a messaging and quorum library critical to clustering applications, and libaec 1.1.7-1 [4], the adaptive entropy coder used in HDF5 and scientific computing stacks. lincity-ng 2.15.0-1 [5] rounds out the batch with game simulation updates, less production-critical but part of the full pipeline refresh.
