SHOW-AUR-CHANGES GETS POWER TOOLS, FIVE-PACKAGE BATCH LANDS

By RepoJournal · Filed · About Arch Linux

The contrib toolchain shipped new filtering and output control for AUR change tracking, while the package repos absorbed five routine updates across staging and stable branches.

Arch's contributed utilities landed a meaningful upgrade [1] with show-aur-changes now supporting --output-dir and --grep flags [2], giving maintainers fine-grained control over how they scan and store AUR modifications. This came with a critical fix: the script was never actually shipped with the contrib package until this release due to a missing Makefile entry, and a git mktree invocation that was missing the -C flag [8]. Five state updates hit the repos overnight: acorn bumped to 1:8.17.0-1 [3], onnxruntime staged at 1.24.4-8 [4], tuicr refreshed to 0.17.1-1 [5], ibus-typing-booster moved to 2.30.10-1 [6], and wasm-component-ld advanced to 0.5.23-1 [7]. None of these signal breaking changes or security incidents, but the contrib improvements matter if you're auditing AUR submissions at scale.
