ARCH MAINTAINERS PUSH V2RAY AND GEXIV2 UPDATES TO TESTING
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Arch Linux
Geolocation and domain filtering tools move to extra-testing while metadata library sees stability bump across x86_64.
The testing pipeline absorbed dual v2ray updates overnight: v2ray-geoip [1] and v2ray-domain-list-community [2] both landed in extra-testing-any, the standard path for network filtering tools awaiting wider validation. On the stable side, gexiv2 0.16.2-2 [3] and libgexiv2 0.14.7-1 [4] shipped to extra-x86_64, addressing a paired upgrade for the EXIF metadata stack that maintains ABI consistency. Pika-backup advanced to 0.8.4-1 , a minor bump for the backup utility. In parallel, buildbtw maintainers merged documentation improvements [5] that clarify graph calculation behavior and dependency resolution, adding user-visible help text and docblock notes on which dependency types are skipped during calculation [6]. Across both desks, 52 commits drove these maintenance cycles forward.
