TERRAFORM ENTERPRISE GETS SCIM SUPPORT AND POLICY DELEGATION

By RepoJournal · Filed · About HashiCorp

The terraform-provider-tfe v0.78.0 release ships SCIM provisioning and token management alongside a new project notification resource, giving enterprises tighter control over identity and governance.

This is the big infrastructure week for Terraform Enterprise users. The TFE provider v0.78.0 [1] adds two major identity features: `tfe_scim_settings` and `tfe_scim_token` resources for managing SCIM on Enterprise deployments, plus a `tfe_project_notification_configuration` resource [2] that lets teams wire notifications directly into projects. On the governance side, delegated policy override support [3] now lets you grant override permissions at the organization, project, and workspace level, shipping alongside the next Enterprise release. Separately, the Vault provider [4] bumped 12 Go module dependencies across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud SDKs. On the documentation desk, HCP Terraform now has a centralized changelog [5] instead of scattered release notes across blogs and announcements. In Nomad, the Podman driver killed an ugly transitive Docker dependency [7] that was bleeding into projects that shouldn't need it, and fixed IPv6-only custom network routing [8] so containers actually land on the right network. Consul's documentation [9] picked up gossip protocol videos across 2.0, 1.22, and 1.21, and Vault release notes [6] flagged the breaking change on wildcard and glob restrictions.
