Shipped reddit-growth-mcp v0.2.0 and polished the interactive launcher

Recoordinate shipped the initial public release of reddit-growth-mcp across 71 commits, a full-featured MCP server and CLI for growing Reddit accounts by analyzing where posts will be accepted and seen, then added an interactive menu launcher with a modern TUI.

The work split into three phases over the day. First came the core features and documentation: a compare tool that ranks subreddits by growth, viral potential, traffic (posts per day), discussion depth, and a safety label based on mod-removal rate [2]; a growth_plan command that picks the safest high-confidence target and surfaces cross-post options [5]; an analyze_insight tool that measures discussion quality through comment substance rather than just count [9]; and an evaluate_draft_across tool that scores a post's fit across multiple subs using percentile-normalized ranking [10]. Most of these work credential-free, falling back to posting velocity from the Arctic Shift archive when Reddit API keys aren't set [6]. The release notes describe the key capability: "grow a Reddit account by posting where you'll be accepted and seen. Most analysis works without any Reddit credentials" [11].

Second came fixes and polish. Recoordinate discovered that megathreads and AMAs distorted per-post patterns and dropped them from analysis [1]. Draft verdicts were refined to account for removal rate as a baseline risk [13], title signals were gated on sample reliability to avoid noise [12], and section failures in reports now render as clear notes instead of raw errors [14]. A ruff linter was added and applied across the project [7], GitHub Actions CI now runs tests and lint checks [4] [8], and the constants module was centralized for tunable thresholds [3].

Third came the interactive launcher and presentation. A scripts/menu.sh launcher offers a menu-driven interface that starts as plain numbered picks, but when the charmbracelet gum tool is installed upgrades to an arrow-key mode picker and fuzzy-searchable multi-select for subreddits [21]. The preset list grew from nothing to 41 verified subreddits across AI chat, agents, image generation, dev, infra, and startup/growth categories [20]. The launcher's header went through several iterations: from a small ASCII face to a one-line wordmark with a sparkline to a large figlet-style "reddit growth" banner with an orange "mcp" label [22]. A Dockerfile was added for containerized deployment [15], assets including a 400x400 logo and a smithery.yaml were prepared for directory listings [16], and the README was rebuilt with a transparent-background banner, a looping demo GIF, worked examples, and clear setup instructions for Cline/Cursor/Claude Desktop [17] [18]. The MCP server.json was added for publication to the official MCP registry at v0.2.1 [19].

All 8 CLI tools (analyze_subreddit, analyze_acceptance, analyze_post_patterns, draft, compare_subreddits, growth_plan, fit, insight) work end-to-end; the menu launcher and demo GIFs make them discoverable without reading docs.
