CACHY UPDATE V4.1.2 SHIPS WITH TURKISH SUPPORT AND RUSSIAN PROMPT FIX

By RepoJournal · Filed · About CachyOS

CachyOS rebased upstream to v4.1.2 while expanding localization across the stack and shipping three new kernel releases across 7.2-rc6, 7.1.6, and 6.18.42.

The cachy-update upstream rebase v4.1.2 [1] lands alongside major i18n work: Turkish translation now live [2], [4], and Russian confirmation prompts switched back to Latin [y/n] to eliminate keyboard layout friction on Cyrillic systems [3]. The new CLI installer is trimming its footprint, dropping Plymouth for ZFS encryption, PostgreSQL support, and Meson from CI [16], [17], [18]. Kernel team shipped three flavors: Linux 7.2-rc6-2 with new t2bce driver stack [12], 7.1.6-1 rebased upstream with POC 2.6.3 [14], and 6.18.42-1 with apple-bce staging driver and i915 quirks [13]. Package automation running steady: legcord to 1.3.0 [5], [6], GitHub Copilot tools updated [7], [8], and PHP bumped to 8.5.9-1 [15]. Wiki localization surge continues with cantosun99 AI-translating Russian across secure boot, sched-ext, gaming, Chrome flags, and automount docs [19], [20], [21], [22], [23]. Hyperland Noctalia 1.2.4 adds greeter support and zoom keybindings [11]. All infrastructure uptime green across China mirrors [9], [10].
