Vercel shipped three major feature releases across its core platforms overnight: Workflow gains an opt-in QuickJS WASM VM that cuts serialization overhead, Eve now routes to dynamic remote subagents, and Next.js 16.3.0 hardens turbopack's export analysis.
The Workflow team landed a breaking change that matters: an opt-in QuickJS WASM engine [1] alongside the default Node runtime, bringing AbortController, terminal drain, turbo-safe requeue, and stable PRNG seed. Pair this with lazy hook resumption via parallel event write and queue publish [2], which rebases onto resilient resumeHook and event-count-gated replay restart, and you've got fundamentally faster workflow resumption. Eve shipped dynamic remote subagent support [4], letting subagent resolvers return defineRemoteAgent and keeping auth out of durable state, stacked on work to gate localDev() on deployment environment rather than request headers [3]. On the AI side, Baseten provider got opt-in native performance client and streamed usage [5], plus harness bridge commands renamed for clarity (detach to stop, shutdown to destroy) [6]. Next.js 16.3.0 [7] ships turbopack export analysis hardening: drop dead writes to exports [9] after module.exports assignment, and remove obsolete static generation plumbing [10]. Across all five desks, 65 commits landed in 68 PRs with 14 releases, concentrated in workflow, eve, and ai [8].
