Startup admission errors typed, setup diagnostics unhidden
By RepoJournal · Filed · About OpenClaw · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
openclaw hardens startup and setup paths while the enterprise console keeps its API status on private Secret write failures and CI lanes get shorter.
fix: preserve inbound replay and bounded session rereads openclaw/openclaw
An inbound replay arriving during startup could reach dispatch before its session was recorded, surfacing as a final startup-admission error; the fix propagates typed pending admission before dispatch so the channel keeps its retry, and a storage-invalidation error type is now recognized by the Gateway's existing single pre-consumption reread. Other metadata failures stay best effort, and concu...
fix(compute): keep the API status when a private Secret write fails openclaw/openclaw-enterprise
projectRuntimeSecrets and deliverWorkspaceSetup caught every failure with a bare catch and raised DependencyUnavailableError, which swallowed the HTTP status too: a 429 or 503 on the runtime credential Secret write became a retry that spent the worker's attempt budget instead of a transient KUBERNETES_API_UNAVAILABLE wait, with no cause in the logs. The API status now survives a private Secret ...
fix(ui): show setup errors without hiding details openclaw/openclaw
Provider setup and OAuth failures used to hide the actionable diagnostic behind a generic collapsed Details disclosure with no usable copy action. The shared model-setup wizard now renders the complete diagnostic immediately in a selectable, bounded scroll area with a standard copy button, covering both Models > Connect and guided setup.
test(live): resolve thinking from prepared model openclaw/openclaw
The live suite picked `low` from the raw catalog model before prepareModelForSimpleCompletion, which broke OpenCode Go GLM-5: it is prepared onto openai-completions, whose plugin policy exposes a fixed always-on profile and rejects `low`. Thinking is now resolved from the prepared completion model with the owning provider policy applied after transport preparation.
refactor(types): deslop UI, package, and plugin contracts (#165804) openclaw/openclaw
Private UI, package, and plugin types were repeating contracts already owned by parsers, factories, schemas, and runtime APIs, leaving definitions free to drift apart. The refactor preserves configuration, persisted data, wire payloads, tool descriptions, plugin manifests, and rendered UI, so no migration is needed.
docs: use plain language for connection checks openclaw/openclaw
And the long tail: 285 documentation, glossary, and README files swap "probe" and "probing" for "check," "connection check," or "test," while published anchors, `--probe` commands, config keys, and schemas keep their names, and the enterprise guide fixes land alongside faster k3d and IRS image-startup lanes.
