Active Model drops a Ruby 4.3 deprecation, Rails tests unbreak on libxml2 2.14
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Rails · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
A one-line aliasing change in Active Model clears a Ruby 4.3 deprecation warning that has been failing every nightly build loading Active Model, and the collection cache test stops asserting on parser output that libxml2 2.14 no longer produces.
Avoid aliasing `Kernel#respond_to?` in `ActiveModel::AttributeMethods` rails/rails
ActiveModel::AttributeMethods aliased Kernel#respond_to? through a module, and since Ruby 4.1.0dev that fallback to Object warns on every load and is slated for removal in Ruby 4.3. The alias now resolves without reaching into Object, so framework code that includes attribute methods stops printing "the fallback to Object for alias of 'respond_to?' ... is deprecated" on Ruby master.
Avoid implied <p> tags in collection cache test rails/rails
libxml2 2.14.0 stopped implying <p> start tags in its HTML parser, so bare text inside <body> is no longer wrapped in a paragraph and the collection cache test failed on any Nokogiri built against 2.14 or newer, including Fedora 46 on 2.15.4. The test now asserts on rendered order with a regexp instead of on parser output.
