Rails dump skips extension-owned objects, solid_cable 4.1 adds encryption
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Rails · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
Ruby schema dumps stop emitting PostGIS and Citus member objects, and solid_cable's Rails World release batches writes and encrypts payloads.
Skip extension member tables, enum types and schemas in the Ruby schema dump rails/rails
The Ruby schema dump no longer writes tables, enum types, or schemas that PostgreSQL extensions own. PostGIS's spatial_ref_sys, pg_partman's part_config and part_config_sub, and Citus's citus, citus_internal, and columnar schemas were dumped as create_table and create_enum output whenever their schema was on the search path, but PostgreSQL refuses to drop or recreate those objects independently...
v4.1.0 rails/solid_cable
The Rails World Edition reuses the channel hash directly rather than rehashing on every poll, memoizes cable configuration, and batches writes together. It also adds encryption support, which changes what your subscribers receive unless you configure it deliberately.
Merge pull request #58878 from yahonda/skip-extension-member-objects rails/rails
The merge lands the schema-dump exclusion across the extension cases left open by earlier work, so the behavior now covers the full set of member objects rather than a subset.
