Action View falls back to Prism on Ruby master
By RepoJournal · Filed · About Rails · Composed from the cited sources · methodology
The day's one real code change makes Action View's template spotting survive Ruby master, while two documentation migrations and a comment cleanup round out the wire.
Use Ruby::Prism in ActionView::Template#spot when available rails/rails
ActionView::Template#spot now uses Ruby::Prism when it is available. Yahonda opened it to fix Action View test failures on the 8-1-stable nightly build under Ruby master, where the same failures on main stay hidden because the actionview job aborts earlier on a Ractor bug (ruby-lang bug 22419).
RDoc to Markdown in Active Job rails/rails
Active Job's API documentation moved from RDoc to Markdown as part of Xavier Noria's ongoing conversion across the framework. Read it as a docs-format change only: no runtime behavior shifts.
Complete RDoc to Markdown in Action Cable rails/rails
Action Cable's RDoc to Markdown conversion is now complete, following the same effort as Active Job. Nothing to migrate, but expect the rendered docs for the component to look different.
Remove unnecessary markup rails/rails
Noria also dropped unnecessary escaping markup from a code comment, noting the underscores never needed escaping in a regular comment. Cosmetic, and the only non-documentation change here.
